Look for Geiger Counters on Stella Montis, starting in Assembly and its Workshops. Search tool stands, blue cabinets, filing cabinets, and breachable server cabinets; Medical Research is a secondary area worth checking. These are reported search priorities, not guaranteed spawns. The item is recyclable material, and the community-recorded item listing also includes it in the stage-five Trophy Display requirements.
Where to find Geiger Counters
The community-maintained ARC Raiders Wiki item record lists scavenging on Stella Montis as the Geiger Counter’s source. For a focused search, PC Gamer’s January 29, 2026 location guide recommends Assembly and the Workshops, with Medical Research as a secondary area. No reliable drop percentage or guaranteed spawn is established.
Start in Assembly and the Workshops
- Deploy to Stella Montis and head to Assembly in the northern part of the map.
- Search the Workshops and nearby loot containers, prioritizing tool stands, blue cabinets, filing cabinets, and breachable server cabinets.
- If you have time, check Medical Research, reachable from Assembly. It is another reported search area with tool stands and filing cabinets.
Containers may be empty, so treat this as a route for prioritizing searches rather than a guaranteed way to obtain the item. Other guides make broader claims about locations, but the available item record and PC Gamer route support Stella Montis and these areas; they do not establish a reliable spawn elsewhere.
What the Geiger Counter is used for
The Geiger Counter is an Epic recyclable item, not an equipped detector or an active-use gadget. The community item record lists these values and outputs:

| Property | Community-recorded value |
|---|---|
| Listed value | 3,500 coins |
| Weight | 1.5 kg |
| Stack size | 3 |
| Recycle at Speranza | 3 Batteries and 1 Exodus Module |
| Salvage during a raid | 3 Batteries |
These are values recorded by the community-maintained item page, last edited April 5, 2026, rather than official patch-note confirmations. Recycling at Speranza and salvaging in a raid yield different listed materials.
Should you keep, recycle, salvage, or sell it?
Keep the project requirement first
The item record lists three Geiger Counters for stage five of Trophy Display. If you have not completed that stage, check the project screen in-game and retain the number it currently requires before selling or converting extras. PC Gamer’s January 2026 guide describes this as the final stage and reports an Aphelion rifle reward; verify the current requirement and reward in-game, as project details can change.

- Real-time data logging every second into internal memory.
- History data can be downloaded to computer
- Rechargeable battery last longer
- Free data Viewer PC software
- Dosimeter mode, CPM count mode, Graph mode
Choose between materials and coins for extras
Once you have covered any remaining project requirement, compare the listing’s 3,500-coin value with the crafting value of its listed recycling materials for your own needs. If you are in a raid, salvage is the listed option and yields Batteries; at Speranza, recycling also lists an Exodus Module. Neither choice is universally best—the useful option depends on what you need and where you are.
