Focus Entertainment announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Patch 3.0 went live on September 26, 2024, adding ultrawide support on PC and a private mode for Operations. That mode lets you play alone with bots or with one friend, without random matchmaking during the mission. The update also added a Battlebarge sparring arena and other features and balance changes.
What Patch 3.0 added
Ultrawide support on PC
Focus Entertainment’s Patch 3.0 announcement lists “Ultrawide support for PC.” It does not specify supported aspect ratios, resolutions, or display compatibility, so the announcement alone cannot confirm support for a particular monitor setup.
Private mode for Operations
The private option is specifically for Operation mode, not a general private-lobby guarantee across every game mode. You can start an Operation alone with bots or play with one friend; the announcement says these configurations avoid random matchmaking during the mission. It does not describe a larger private squad configuration.

Hub Sparring Arena
The update added a Hub Sparring Arena on the Battlebarge. It is available in Operations and Eternal War and lets squad members compete in friendly PvP. Focus described it as a new special arena in its official patch notes.

Gameplay and balance changes
Patch 3.0 also changed combat and multiplayer behavior. The official notes include increased damage for fully charged Power Fist attacks; adjustments to Heavy Plasma ammunition, blast damage, and overheat; less frequent armour boosts from destructible crates; improved PvP spawning; and a Vanguard Grapnel Launcher change in PvP. Enemy AI accuracy and damage were adjusted, with specific changes for Zoanthrope psychic screams and Termagant fleshborers. These are changes listed in the patch notes, not independent measurements of their effect on play.

Focus Entertainment said Patch 3.0 was live on September 26, 2024. Its September 11 Hotfix 2.1 announcement had previewed ultrawide support, private PvE lobbies, and the sparring arena as features planned for a later September patch.
