If a call seems stuck in Cyberpunk 2077, there is no documented universal fix. Start by recording your game version and quest state, update the game, and make a separate save before trying player-reported workarounds. If the bug blocks a quest, report it to CD PROJEKT RED with your platform, version, and save files where applicable.
What the Delamain phone bug looks like
Players use “phone bug” to describe several symptoms: a call appears to remain active, V cannot make or advance calls, an expected call does not arrive, or a quest that depends on a call stops progressing. Some accounts connect these problems with Delamain activity, but player reports do not establish one cause or confirm that every symptom is the same bug. Community reports are anecdotal, not a verified diagnosis.
What the official patches do—and do not—fix
CD PROJEKT RED’s Patch 2.31 notes, dated September 11, 2025, list fixes for several issues displaying Delamain text messages. They do not describe a general fix for stuck calls or phone-related quest softlocks.
The Update 2.3 notes, dated July 16, 2025, describe self-driving Delamain cabs as an on-demand vehicle service unlocked after completing “Don’t Lose Your Mind,” regardless of the outcome, and receiving a message from Delamain. That vehicle feature is separate from repairing a stuck phone call.

Try these steps in order
- Record the current state. Note your platform, the version shown on the main menu, the quest and objective, the caller displayed, when the symptom began, and whether you have used mods, trainers, or console commands. CD PROJEKT RED’s quest-progression support form asks for several of these details.
- Update the game. Check the version on the main menu and install available updates for your platform. CD PROJEKT RED’s support form instructs players who encountered an issue on an older version to update first; at access, version 2.31 was its latest selectable version. The latest version can change, so check the form and your game rather than treating 2.31 as current indefinitely.
- Make a separate manual save. If the game allows it, preserve your current state before testing a workaround. Community accounts report mixed outcomes, so a separate save gives you a way back if an attempt changes progression or makes things worse.
- Try a save from before the calls became stuck, if you have one. Some players report recovery after loading an earlier save. This may cost progress and is not guaranteed to work.
- Optionally visit Delamain HQ and exhaust available dialogue. Some players report that this helped, but results vary. It is an anecdotal attempt, not an official or reliably effective repair.
Platform-specific guidance
PS5 and Xbox
Check for updates, record the version and quest state, and preserve a save before trying reversible options available in your game. An earlier save may help if the symptom began after that save was made, but it can cost progress and does not guarantee a fix. The PC console-command workaround described below does not apply to console players.
PC
Use the same update, save-protection, and earlier-save steps. If you use mods or console commands, include that information when contacting support. A community-posted Cyber Engine Tweaks method is a separate, higher-risk option—not an official fix.

Advanced PC-only workaround: Cyber Engine Tweaks
A Reddit post about the phone bug describes using Cyber Engine Tweaks to change quest facts, including holo_force_reset, and lists additional end-call facts for later stuck calls. Replies report that the commands did not help in some cases. This is a community experiment, not CD PROJEKT RED guidance; it may fail, alter quest progression, or be incompatible with a later game version.
- It is intended for PC and requires Cyber Engine Tweaks; it is not a PS5 or Xbox method.
- Back up your saves before changing quest state. Do not copy commands from a summary: consult the original thread for the exact commands and context.
- If you are not comfortable modifying quest state or restoring a save, skip this approach and contact support instead.
Contact CD PROJEKT RED if a quest remains blocked
Use the quest-progression support form to describe the quest, objective, and call state. Include your platform and game version, whether Phantom Liberty is installed, when the playthrough started, and whether you used mods, trainers, or console commands. The form requests the quest name and save files. Its save-file instructions are PC-oriented: the Windows location is %userprofile%Saved GamesCD Projekt RedCyberpunk 2077, and the relevant save folder includes metadata.9.json, sav.dat, and screenshot.png. Console players should select the appropriate platform or support route and should not assume the Windows file instructions apply to them.
