The Buried City music puzzle is reported to have been removed from ARC Raiders in the January 27, 2026 Headwinds update, so its old button route is not a current solution. If you are checking older footage or guides, the puzzle used 15 buttons in the sequence C–D–D–F–A–F–G–F–G–F–G–A–C–D–D.
Is the Buried City music puzzle still available?
GamesRadar reports that the puzzle was removed in the January 27, 2026 Headwinds update. That is secondary-source reporting; an official patch note confirming the removal was not available in the sources cited here. Do not rely on the historical route below as a live-game walkthrough. GamesRadar’s report also says trader Shani could then sell Acoustic Guitars and Shakers, but the current inventory and prices have not been independently verified.
How the puzzle worked
Historical guides describe a 15-button sequence hidden around Buried City and encoded by a music-note clue: C–D–D–F–A–F–G–F–G–F–G–A–C–D–D. The last D was by the locked music-room door near the Red Tower. Pressing a button out of order reset progress, and one walkthrough says progress was shared among players in the raid. Treat those mechanics as historical guide information, not a guarantee of current behavior. Beebom’s December 19, 2025 guide says the puzzle was introduced with the Cold Snap update, required no quest acceptance, and had to be completed in one raid.

What the music room rewarded
Historical guides list musical items including Acoustic Guitars, Shakers, and Recorders among the room’s rewards. GamesRadar characterizes guitars and shakers as emote-like items without a mechanical function. GamesRadar’s coverage and All Things How’s walkthrough document those rewards.
