The 2024 Quebec Games Celebration was a Steam showcase for games made or published in Quebec. What was the Quebec Games Celebration?
The event brought together games connected to Quebec’s video-game industry on Steam. MobileSyrup reported that Indie Asylum and its Purple is Royal incubator organized the initiative to promote games made in Quebec; a participating developer described the catalogue as more than 200 games made or published in Quebec. The event’s scale and scope were reported in 2024 and were not independently audited in the cited coverage. What could visitors find on the Steam showcase?
The showcase combined ways to browse and try games with opportunities to follow upcoming releases:
- Released games: Participating titles had event discounts. MobileSyrup named Dead by Daylight, Dead Space, Goodbye Volcano High, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Sea of Stars, Season: A Letter to the Future and Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition among its examples. Those were deals reported in January 2024, not verified current prices or offers.
- Demos and streams: Steam announcements described demos and developer streams during the event.
- Upcoming games: Visitors could browse upcoming titles and wishlist releases. MobileSyrup cited Spiral by Folklore and The Last Citadel by Honest Demon as examples.
- Spotlight categories: The event page included sections such as Teams Spotlight and Games Spotlight.
The available coverage names examples rather than documenting the complete catalogue, so these titles should not be read as a full lineup.

How did DemoNights differ?
DemoNights was a companion community showcase, not simply another name for the full Steam catalogue. MobileSyrup reported that 15 selected teams were scheduled to give live, five-minute gameplay presentations from February 1 to 3, 2024, with La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec and Loto-Québec involved. A participating developer’s Steam announcement likewise described selected teams streaming gameplay and said each game would have a listing in the event’s DemoNights tab.
Examples of participants named by MobileSyrup included Spirit City: Lofi Sessions by Mooncube, No Love Lost by Ratloop Games Canada, Worship by Chasing Rats Games and Venture to the Vile by Studio Cut to Bits. These are examples from its report, not a complete participant list.
