Zonai Device Dispensers are spread across the Surface, Sky, and Depths, and each machine has its own device pool. The available location guides do not agree on every coordinate or provide a fully corroborated list of all 30 commonly reported dispensers, so use the coordinates below as landmarks—not as a definitive, exhaustive map. Switch to the correct map layer before following them, and check the in-game map or an interactive map for the exact position.
How to use the dispenser locations
Coordinates are shown as X, Y, Z. The Surface, Sky, and Depths are separate map layers, so a matching X and Y does not by itself identify the right location. The entries below include only examples that can be cross-checked in the cited guides; the available sources do not establish a reliable nearby fast-travel point for every one.
A dispenser accepts Zonai Charges and returns capsules containing devices from that machine’s pool. You cannot choose a specific device, so look for a dispenser whose pool includes the item you want. Pools below are reported by the cited guides and may differ between listings; they are not drop-rate guarantees. Nintendo Life’s device guide explains the capsule mechanic.
Surface dispensers
Hudson Construction Site, near Tarrey Town
- Coordinates: approximately 3801, 1563, 0091.
- Reported pool: Fan, Small Wheel, Balloon, Big Wheel, Rocket, Steering Stick.
- Nearby travel point: Tarrey Town area; an exact nearest shrine is not consistently specified in the cited lists.
Kakariko Village, near Makasura Shrine
- Coordinates: Pro Game Guides lists 1840, -1087, 0155. SegmentNext gives a conflicting Y coordinate of -1889, so confirm the location on the in-game map rather than relying on that conflicting value.
- Reported pool: Balloon, Fan, Big Wheel, Stabilizer; device lists vary between guides.
- Nearby travel point: Makasura Shrine area.
Digdogg Suspension Bridge, Gerudo Canyon
- Coordinates: approximately -1624 to -1627, -1888 to -1891, 0002.
- Reported pool: Stake, Big Wheel, Spring, Portable Pot, Battery.
- Nearby travel point: Digdogg Suspension Bridge landmark; a nearest shrine is not consistently identified.
Location and pool listings: Pro Game Guides and SegmentNext.

Sky dispenser examples
The sky entries below illustrate how widely dispensers are distributed; their island names, coordinates, and pools should be checked against the in-game map. These examples are not a complete sky checklist.
- Lightcast Island: approximately -3614, 1059, 1656.
- East Hebra/Tanabtha sky area: approximately -3457, 0400, 1695.
- Starview Island: approximately -3460, -0367, 1943.
- West Hebra sky area: approximately -3806, 2760, 0702.
- East Hebra sky area: approximately -1711, 3374, 0948.
- Bravery Island: approximately 0212, 1988, 0755.
The cited listings do not consistently establish a device pool and nearest fast-travel point for each of these examples, so those details are omitted rather than inferred. The guides also disagree about sky-list completeness: SegmentNext reports 25 sky dispensers, while Pro Game Guides’ visible table is shorter and repeats a Wellspring coordinate. PowerPyx numbers entries through 30 but marks two sky locations missing. See SegmentNext, Pro Game Guides, and PowerPyx.
Rank #2
- Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
- Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
- Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
- Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
Depths dispensers
Left-Leg Depot
- Coordinates: approximately 1051–1052, -2316, -0551 to -0552.
- Reported pool: Wing, Small Wheel, Big Wheel, Rocket, Steering Stick, Construct Head.
- Nearby travel point: Left-Leg Depot landmark; a nearest fast-travel point is not consistently specified.
Under Death Mountain
- Coordinates: 2186, 2634, -0962.
- Reported pool: Big Wheel, Steering Stick, Portable Pot, Battery.
- Nearby travel point: Under Death Mountain; the cited lists do not establish a nearest shrine or lightroot.
Depths coordinates and pools are reported in Pro Game Guides and SegmentNext.
How to get capsules and carry devices
Insert Zonai Charges at a dispenser to receive capsules selected from its pool. Capsules are consumable: once you take a device out, you cannot put it back into inventory. Devices can also be found in chests or in the world. Nintendo Life’s 2023 guide reports these in-game yields for inserting up to five charges at once:
Rank #3
- The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom
| Charges inserted | Regular Zonai Charges: capsules | Large Zonai Charges: capsules |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 10 |
| 2 | 3 | 22 |
| 3 | 5 | 34 |
| 4 | 8 | 47 |
| 5 | 12 | 60 |
These are the yields reported in Nintendo Life’s 2023 guide; they do not establish the odds of receiving any particular device.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How complete is the dispenser map?
Thirty is the prevailing count in the cited guides: SegmentNext breaks it down as 25 Sky, three Surface, and two Depths. However, that total is not consistently corroborated. Pro Game Guides’ visible sky list is shorter than that breakdown and repeats a Wellspring coordinate; PowerPyx leaves two numbered sky entries missing. SegmentNext also conflicts with other guides on Kakariko’s coordinates and some pools. Treat 30 as a commonly reported guide count, not a verified exhaustive checklist.

- In addition to the standard version, a collector's edition of the game will launch on May 12th and includes:
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (physical copy)
- 204 page Hard Cover Artbook
- SteelBook case, Steel Poster, Set of four pin badges
For a practical search, first choose the correct map layer, then compare the named landmark and coordinates, and finally confirm that the dispenser’s pool includes the device you need. The in-game map or an interactive map is the safer way to resolve overlapping positions and discrepancies between guide entries.
