Which Analogue 3D colors were announced?
The December 8, 2025 announcement covered seven transparent Funtastic colors—Fire, Watermelon, Grape, Ice, Jungle, Clear, and Smoke—plus a nontransparent gold edition inspired by a Toys “R” Us special edition. The Verge reported that Analogue said it spent more than a year matching the original colors and described the shades as identical to the originals; those are Analogue’s claims, not independent color measurements. The Verge’s December 8, 2025 report said the Funtastic sale was scheduled for December 10, 2025, so that date is historical, not an upcoming sale.

Analogue’s support FAQ defines limited editions as products made in a single production run and never produced again. Standard products, by contrast, continue to be produced, and Analogue says it aims to restock products that sell out. It recommends stock notifications as the best way to hear about a restock. What is available, and what did it cost?
At the time the official pages were checked, Analogue’s Clear Funtastic store listing showed “Sold Out,” at a listed price of $299.99. The standard black and white product page showed “Available Now.” These are page observations, not guarantees of current inventory; check the listings before ordering.

What the Analogue 3D does
Analogue 3D is an FPGA-based recreation of the Nintendo 64 made to play original cartridges and accessories, with video output over HDMI. Analogue describes it as FPGA hardware rather than software emulation. Its product page lists region-free support for NTSC and PAL cartridges, original N64 controllers and accessories, four original-style controller ports, Bluetooth, and 4K HDMI output; it also says 1080p output is supported. Analogue’s product page says the system is compatible out of the box with the 900+ N64 cartridge library across regions, and supports Expansion Pak and Controller Pak peripherals. What you need to know about controllers and displays
Controllers
The 8BitDo 64 Controller is optional and sold separately. Analogue lists it at $39.99 and describes it as a wireless Bluetooth controller developed with 8BitDo, with a Hall-effect joystick and compatibility with Analogue 3D, Switch, Windows, and Android. Displays and video modes
Analogue advertises 4K output and says its Original Display Modes require a 4K-capable display. The company also says Analogue 3D is not compatible with CRTs or Analogue DAC. A capture card cannot be used while Original Display Modes are enabled. These caveats matter if your setup depends on a CRT, an Analogue DAC, or capture through those modes. Analogue 3D product page

Because Analogue says limited editions are single production runs, a sold-out Funtastic model is not equivalent to a standard color temporarily out of stock. For standard products, Analogue says it aims to restock, and recommends signing up for stock notifications on the relevant product listing. It does not promise that any specific color will return.

Analogue describes the system as “10x the resolution of the original N64” in its product-page copy. It also says around 70% of the game library supports multiplayer; that percentage is a manufacturer-published figure, not an independent measurement. Analogue 3D product page
