Frozen Trail is scheduled for October 8, 2026, according to the official ARC Raiders site. This is a major update date, not the launch date for the base game. Nexon announced ARC Raiders’ worldwide launch for October 30, 2025, and the game is already available.
What is expected in Frozen Trail?
GamesRadar’s October 2, 2026 report describes Frozen Trail as Embark’s “biggest update since launch.” Its announced additions include:
- Pendola Pass: a new snowy map set in Italy.
- Four enemy types: Frigate, Bully, Skulker, and Hydra.
- New weapons: the Stiletto battle rifle and Bantam revolver.
- More gear and systems: traversal equipment, instruments, and additions to weapon modification, customization, progression, quests, and trials.
These are features reported as part of the announcement, not a hands-on assessment of how the update plays.

Is ARC Raiders free to play during the October update?
GamesRadar reports that Embark is pairing Frozen Trail with a four-day free trial running October 8–12, 2026, on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. That is a limited trial window, not evidence that ARC Raiders is becoming a permanently free-to-play game.
