It showcased a Gundam takeover of Wildcard on Broken Moon, Gundam-inspired Legend and weapon cosmetics, and two mythic universal melee items. The announced event-store window for direct purchases of Legend skins ended April 14, 2026.
What the official trailer announced
The verified Apex Legends trailer listing was published March 3, 2026. Its description promoted iconic weapons, Gundam-inspired cosmetics and a “reborn Broken Moon.” The trailer credits Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment, with CG by Brunch Studio and gameplay capture and editing by Dark Burn Creative.
EA’s event announcement, also dated March 3, stated: “Gundam comes to the Outlands March 10.” That is the announced launch date; the event is now historical.
How the Gundam Wildcard takeover worked
EA described Wildcard: Gundam Takeover as a Broken Moon battlefield filled with destroyed Mobile Suits, large climbable Wing Gundam statues and ships fighting overhead. The featured Buster Rifle could be found in Care Packages. EA said it supported aerial reconnaissance and wall scans that marked enemies, and fired lasers that cut through cover and exploded on impact.
