In the September 2026 Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting series, the 6-star guarantee is at 80 regular attempts, while the featured-operator guarantee is separate and at 120. Those counters have different rules, and they do not automatically apply to every Endfield banner. Free Urgent Recruitment attempts do not count toward the documented RE-Factor guarantees. Check the current banner’s in-game Headhunting details before planning pulls.
How does the Arknights: Endfield pity system work?
For Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting, Gryphline lists three separate thresholds: a 5-star-or-higher operator within 10 regular attempts, a 6-star within 80 attempts, and the featured operator within 120 attempts across the same-name RE-Factor series. These are guarantees at the stated limits, not average pull counts.
The 80-attempt rule is a rarity guarantee: it ensures a 6-star, not necessarily the featured operator. The 120-attempt rule is the featured guarantee. Keep the two counters separate when tracking progress. Gryphline’s RE-Factor overview and September 2026 banner notice describe these terms.
How many pulls to guarantee a 6-star?
On Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor, a 6-star is guaranteed within 80 regular headhunting attempts. If you get a 6-star before reaching 80, that 6-star guarantee counter resets. If you have not obtained one, your progress carries to another banner in the Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor family.
This does not mean 80 pulls guarantee Yvonne or whichever operator is featured. The separate featured guarantee is at 120 attempts across the same-name series.

Does Endfield pity carry over to the next banner?
It depends on the banner family. On the documented Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor series, the 80-attempt 6-star counter carries to a future RE-Factor banner if no 6-star has been obtained. The 120-attempt featured guarantee also carries across banners of the same name and can trigger once across that series.
Do not assume that counter progress transfers between differently named banner types. Gryphline’s May 2026 Fest of Brilliance Special Headhunting notice said that banner’s guarantee count was independent and did not transfer to or from other headhunting banners. That example makes the practical rule clear: read the details for the specific banner rather than relying on a universal Endfield pity rule. Fest of Brilliance notice
Do free Urgent Recruitment pulls count toward pity?
No—not for the documented Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor guarantees or attempt-based banner rewards. The banner grants 10 bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts after 30, 60, and 90 regular headhunting attempts. Those free attempts are excluded from the guarantees and milestone accounting, although unused bonus attempts carry to future banners of the same RE-Factor name.
The September 2026 notice also lists one Yvonne Token per 240 regular attempts across that same-name series. Do not add the free Urgent Recruitment attempts to that total. Earlier official Chartered Headhunting materials likewise excluded bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts from its guarantees and attempt rewards, but consult the live Chartered banner details for its current terms.

Gryphline’s September 23, 2026 notice named Yvonne as the featured 6-star operator for Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting #1. It opened September 24, 2026 at 12:00 server time—UTC+8 for Asia and UTC-5 for Americas/Europe—and ends before a version update and maintenance. The notice does not establish a fixed calendar end date, so use the in-game banner display for the live availability window. Official banner notice
What to check before spending attempts
- Confirm the banner’s exact family name and read its Headhunting details; carryover can differ by banner type.
- Track regular attempts separately from free Urgent Recruitment attempts.
- For RE-Factor, track the 80-attempt 6-star counter separately from the 120-attempt featured-operator guarantee.
- Check the banner’s live end time and any milestone rewards in the game before making a pull plan.

What the developer has said about player feedback
In an April 2, 2026 GamesRadar+ interview about player feedback, Endfield lead developer Ryan said the team uses questionnaires and in-game data to assess whether players feel paywalled by the gacha system. That is context about feedback, not a change to the banner rules. GamesRadar+ interview
