Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update reached console and mobile on November 4, 2024, with version 1.6.9. The update brought the major 1.6 release to those platforms alongside a patch focused on fixes, quality-of-life improvements and technical work—not a large new content expansion. Version 1.6.9 is a historical release milestone, not a claim about the current build on every platform.
When did Stardew Valley 1.6 come to console and mobile?
Developer ConcernedApe announced that the console and mobile versions would launch on November 4, 2024, at version 1.6.9. The official forum confirmed the release that day, while noting that it could take time for the update to appear on every device. ConcernedApe’s release announcement and the November 4 forum post document the date and rollout.

Before the general release, the developer said the 1.6.9 work was intended to give modders time to update and to catch remaining bugs. The announcement also said its features were planned for console and mobile at launch, so the beta process would not change the schedule for those ports. The 1.6.9 beta notes explain that context.
What did the 1.6.9 patch change?
ConcernedApe characterized 1.6.9 as a modest patch built around bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, technical updates and behind-the-scenes work. Its notes span gameplay, menus, multiplayer, localization, cosmetic details and modding. The examples below illustrate the range; they are not the full changelog.

What problems were reported at launch?
On November 4, 2024, the official forum post described several launch-day reports: some European PlayStation players could not start the game; players reported chickens disappearing on new Meadowlands farms; and some new mobile saves began with an extra cabin. The post said the team was collecting information or working on fixes, and also warned that the rollout could be slow. These were reports tied to launch day, not evidence that the problems remain unresolved now. See the official release-day post for its contemporaneous details.

Is 1.6.9 still the current console version?
No. Later official console notes document version 1.6.15.1 for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, describing it as a console-issue fix and a sync with the latest PC release at that time, PC version 1.6.15. The announcement’s edit says the Switch patch became available on February 26, 2025. ConcernedApe’s console patch announcement and the console version history establish that later milestone.
Those notes show that 1.6.9 should be understood as the version that brought the 1.6 release to console and mobile in November 2024—not as a universal current-version listing. The available announcements do not establish the current build on every platform today.
