B-27 Fortified Commando is a heavy armor set listed with 200 Armor, 450 Speed, 50 Stamina, and the Extra Padding passive. Its displayed armor rating is higher than the 150 shown for several other heavy armor entries, while its listed Speed and Stamina match theirs. It is worth considering if you prioritize the armor rating; whether it suits you depends on the protection, mobility, and passive you want.

These are the set’s displayed game values, not a promise of a specific number of hits survived or damage prevented. PlayStation’s beginner guide identifies Armor Rating, Speed, and Stamina Regen as core armor stats and notes that armor passives affect survival and combat effectiveness. PlayStation’s Helldivers 2 beginner guide provides that general context, not B-27’s exact values. The set-specific listing is on the Helldivers Wiki’s B-27 Fortified Commando page.
How it compares with other heavy armor
The Helldivers Wiki’s heavy armor comparison lists several other sets at 150 Armor, 450 Speed, and 50 Stamina. Against those listed entries, B-27 displays a higher Armor value while showing the same Speed and Stamina values. The comparison page describes heavy armor generally as offering superior protection while compromising mobility; it does not establish exact damage outcomes for B-27 or prove that its displayed values make it the best choice for every mission or player. See the heavy armor comparison for the listed values.

Is B-27 Fortified Commando worth choosing?
Consider it if armor rating is your priority
If you want a heavy set with a higher displayed Armor value than the other 150-Armor entries in the comparison, B-27 is a reasonable option to consider. Its listed Speed and Stamina are not lower than those comparison entries, but the category-level heavy-armor mobility tradeoff still matters when choosing how you want to play.
Compare passives and mobility before spending
Armor is not the only consideration: the passive can affect survival and combat effectiveness, and players may value mobility or a different passive more than the displayed armor rating. Compare the full set you are considering rather than treating B-27’s Armor number as a universal verdict.
