What is Baldi’s Basics Plus?
The Steam description calls Baldi’s Basics Plus “an active stealth roguelike” that “parodies cheap ’90s edutainment with a subtle horror twist.” The developer’s itch.io listing also identifies procedural generation and roguelite elements. Steam describes multiple modes and challenge scenarios; these are store descriptions, not a guarantee of a particular experience on every run.
The game is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux through its listed stores. This article focuses on the Windows version.
Can your Windows PC run it?
Steam lists these minimum Windows requirements. They are the game’s stated requirements, not a performance benchmark, and Steam notes they may change while the game is in Early Access.

There is an important distinction for older PCs: the game listing says Windows 7 SP1 or newer, but Steam’s separate client notice says the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later beginning January 1, 2024. That client-support floor can affect whether you can use Steam even when your operating system meets the game’s stated minimum. Check the current Steam listing for updated requirements and client information.
Where can you buy Baldi’s Basics Plus for Windows?
The reviewed official digital purchase routes are Steam and itch.io. The storefronts list the game for Windows, but the available information does not establish that their terms or entitlements are identical.

As displayed on the official itch.io page in the August 2026 information reviewed, the minimum purchase price was $9.99 USD, and the Windows ZIP for version 0.14.5 was 95 MB. These are time-sensitive listing details, not guaranteed current prices or download sizes; check the store page before buying. Steam’s current price is not stated here, so consult its live listing.
Is Baldi’s Basics Plus still in Early Access?
Yes. The developer’s official site labels the game Early Access, and the official itch.io listing describes it as “In development.” The itch.io page listed build 0.14.5 for Windows, macOS, and Linux in August 2026. The developer’s August 2026 Steam status update said versions 0.14.3, 0.14.4, and 0.14.5 had released since the previous update, with occasional further 0.14.x releases expected as work continues on version 1.0.

The same update described the horizontal slice as complete and said development was progressing through feature completion, with much of the focus shifted to content exclusive to 1.0. It did not give a 1.0 launch date. A schedule discussed through the end of 2026 was not presented as the full development schedule, so it should not be treated as a release window.

Merchandise is separate from the game purchase. The developer’s official merch page lists items such as T-shirts, stickers, and posters through Spring; current stock and availability depend on that shop. A previously announced Playtime plush campaign had an August 23, 2026 deadline, which has passed, so it should not be treated as an open campaign.
