Bit Reactor and Respawn’s Star Wars strategy project was revealed as Star Wars Zero Company on April 19, 2025—not as a future announcement. When was the Star Wars game revealed?
The game’s chronology has two milestones. EA and Lucasfilm Games announced three Star Wars projects involving Respawn on January 25, 2022, including an unnamed strategy game. On April 19, 2025, at Star Wars Celebration Japan, Lucasfilm revealed that project’s title and first substantive details: Star Wars Zero Company.

That distinction matters: the April event was the reveal of the game’s name and design, not the first announcement that a Star Wars strategy project was in development. EA’s January 2022 announcement described the project as a strategy game; StarWars.com’s April 2025 reveal established its title and format.
Who is making Star Wars Zero Company?
Bit Reactor is leading development. Respawn Entertainment is producing the game and collaborating with Bit Reactor, alongside Lucasfilm Games. In other words, this is not simply a Respawn-developed title: the announcement assigns the development lead to Bit Reactor while identifying Respawn as producer and collaborator.

What kind of game is it?
Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game. Its story takes place in the twilight of the Clone Wars, when players command Hawks, a former Republic officer, and an unconventional squad confronting an emerging threat.
The announced focus is on squad-based tactical play and decisions with narrative consequences, rather than multiplayer or a broad action-adventure format. Lucasfilm Games Executive Producer Orion Kellogg described the protagonist and role as new territory for the series: “We’re offering a character we haven’t seen before, a role we haven’t seen before,” he told StarWars.com. He also cautioned against treating it as only a Clone Wars story: “This isn’t just a Clone Wars game,”

What choices and customization did the reveal describe?
Players can customize Hawks and squad members. Squadmates can form bonds and unlock combat synergies, while choices about missions and squad composition can influence relationships and story outcomes. Bit Reactor Game Director Greg Foertsch explained that “The places players choose to go and the missions they undertake can each have an impact on the story,”
Those are details of the announced design; they do not establish how extensive the customization or branching outcomes will be in the finished game.

What platforms and release window were announced?
The April 2025 reveal listed PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a release window of 2026. Because that date is an announcement made in April 2025, it should not be read as proof that the game is currently available or that the window remains unchanged. The official reveal and Bit Reactor’s website are the appropriate places to check for updated information.
