When did Black Ops Royale launch?
Call of Duty Staff announced the launch for 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, March 12, 2026, and 12 a.m. ET on Friday, March 13. The official announcement gave those Pacific and Eastern times; converting the same moment to UTC gives 04:00 UTC on Friday, March 13.

Is Black Ops Royale out, and how long will it be available?
Black Ops Royale has launched as free-to-play content in Call of Duty: Warzone. Activision’s September 8 Season 06 announcement and Raven Software’s October 7 Warzone patch notes identify Season 06 as the last chance to play the mode. Neither source gives the exact date or time it will leave the playlist, so check the in-game playlist or current official updates for the cutoff.

Season 02 Reloaded was a separate Warzone update: its official announcement described Black Ops Royale as a free-to-play mode arriving later, not as a mode launching with that update. See the Season 02 Reloaded announcement, Season 06 announcement, and October 7 patch notes.
What is Black Ops Royale?
Black Ops Royale is a free-to-play Warzone battle royale mode set on Avalon and inspired by Blackout. The publisher specifies matches of 100 players in 25 teams of four; this is a game specification, not a measured player-count statistic.
