To find the Shut-Eye Keep datapad in Borderlands 4, reach the safehouse in The Howl, take the elevator below the structure, then use the grapple point above the vending-machine room to reach the green-glowing datapad in the red-lit upper room. After collecting it, return to the command console in the vending-machine room and interact with it to claim the safehouse.
Where is Shut-Eye Keep?
Shut-Eye Keep is a safehouse in The Howl, in the Fadefields. Guides place it north of Launchpad Faction Town or toward the northeastern edge of The Howl, but these are broad directions rather than exact coordinates. Mark the safehouse on your in-game map and follow its waypoint. Nerdschalk’s datapad guide, GameSpot’s safehouse guide and PowerPyx’s safehouse guide identify the location in The Howl.
How to reach the datapad
- Take the elevator up. At the base of the facility, use the elevator to reach the safehouse floor. Enemies may guard the approach, so be ready for a possible encounter.
- Find the vending-machine room. Move through the interior until you reach the room with vending machines and the command console. Use those landmarks to orient yourself; walkthroughs differ in the intermediate room details.
- Grapple to the upper ledge. From the vending-machine room, turn around and look above you for a grapple point. Use it to reach the high ledge, then enter the red-lit room.
- Pick up the datapad. Look for the green-glowing datapad on a crate or ledge in the upper room.
- Claim the safehouse. Return to the vending-machine room and interact with the command console. Finding the datapad alone does not complete the safehouse claim.
If you cannot find the datapad
Recheck the overhead grapple point from the vending-machine room and search the red-lit room on the upper ledge. The available walkthroughs establish those landmarks, but do not provide a verified, version-specific fix for a datapad that fails to appear. Nerdschalk and PowerPyx are third-party guides, not official Gearbox or 2K support documentation, so an unverified reload or reset should not be treated as a confirmed solution for this location.
