Lies of P is a single-player soulslike set in Belle Époque Krat, with combat built around weapon combinations and Legion Arms. The official sources confirm that Overture adds bosses as a separately purchased prequel expansion, but they do not publish a complete boss roster or authoritative encounter order. That means an exact total or definitive required-versus-optional checklist cannot be established from the official information available here.
How many bosses are in Lies of P?
There is no reliable, scope-defined total established by the official sources cited here. Counts can differ depending on whether a list includes only major story encounters, optional minibosses, Overture encounters, or repeat fights in Boss Rematch. The official game and expansion pages describe the game and its added content but do not provide a complete roster. Treat totals without a clearly stated inclusion rule as estimates, not definitive counts.

What a useful count needs to define
- Release scope: base game only, or base game plus Overture.
- Encounter type: full boss encounters only, or minibosses as well.
- Repeat content: whether Battle Memories rematches or Death March appearances are counted as new entries.
NEOWIZ describes the base game on its official game page and confirms it is single-player in its support FAQ. Neither source supplies the complete list needed to calculate a definitive count.
What order are the bosses in?
The official pages reviewed do not give an authoritative, chapter-by-chapter boss order. A complete progression checklist—including the area, encounter name, and whether each fight is required or optional—cannot be verified from those sources. This is especially important when comparing guides: some may count optional minibosses or expansion encounters while others list only major story fights.

- Variety of attraction: Enjoy the beautiful, yet dark atmosphere of the Belle Époque era and explore the once prosperous city of Krat
- Lie system: P is made of a puppet's heart, but he learns how to think and feel like a human by lying
- Legacy of the classics: The city of Krat, the characters, and even the smallest objects reflect our deepest admiration for the original tale of Pinocchio
For a trustworthy checklist, each entry should identify whether it belongs to the base game or Overture, its place in progression, and whether the encounter is story-required or optional. Without a verified roster, presenting a numbered list as definitive would be misleading.
Which bosses are optional?
The official sources cited here do not establish which individual encounters are optional, nor do they provide a complete roster against which to check that status. Avoid relying on an unlabeled list as a guide to required progression: a roster can mix story bosses, optional minibosses, and DLC fights without making the distinction clear.
