Yes. Borderlands 4 is available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. But the claim that it received a discount just a few days after release is not supported by the available dated reporting: a reported 20% Steam sale began in October 2025, more than a month after launch. A later Steam listing showed a 50% offer ending October 8, 2026; that listing does not establish when the offer began, and its price may have changed.
Is Borderlands 4 available on PC?
Yes. 2K announced that Borderlands 4 became available worldwide on September 12, 2025, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Steam’s listing displayed September 11, 2025 as its release date; that is the storefront’s displayed date, distinct from the publisher’s announced worldwide date. 2K’s launch announcement and the Steam listing provide those details.

2K describes the game as a looter-shooter set on Kairos, with four new Vault Hunters, branching skill trees, new traversal mechanics, and a summonable Digirunner. Players can play solo or in co-op with up to four players. These are publisher descriptions, not an independent assessment of the gameplay.
Did Borderlands 4 get a discount a few days after release?
The available dated sources do not establish an early discount a few days after the September 2025 launch. GamesRadar+ reported on October 14, 2025 that Steam had discounted the game by 20% through October 20, describing that sale as just over a month after launch. Its account of Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford’s earlier comments likewise does not support a discount within only a few days. GamesRadar+’s October 2025 report is a historical account, not a live price quote.

A Steam search result later showed a 50% offer ending October 8, 2026. It did not state when that discount began, so it cannot establish how soon after launch the game first went on sale. The Steam store page is the place to check the current price and sale terms; availability and discounts can vary by region and change over time.

These are historical US launch prices, not current prices. The 2K Store page inspected displayed MYR 239 for Standard, MYR 329 for Deluxe, and MYR 429 for Super Deluxe; those are regional store prices, not global quotes. 2K’s launch announcement, its pre-order announcement, and the 2K Store listing describe the editions and pricing context.
2K says the DLC bundles and their component packs can also be sold separately and require the base game. If you only want the base game, Standard avoids paying upfront for bundled add-ons. If particular DLC or cosmetics matter to you, compare the current edition price with the cost of buying the relevant content separately rather than assuming the higher tier is automatically better value.

What to check before buying on PC
- Compare the same edition on Steam and Epic for your region, including the displayed list price, discount, and sale end date.
- Confirm whether the sale price applies to Standard, Deluxe, or Super Deluxe; do not infer an edition’s price from a discount shown for another one.
- Check the included DLC against what you actually want, since announced bundles and components may also be sold separately and require the base game.
- For online play, an internet connection is required. Cross-play requires a SHiFT Account. Console online play requires a separate paid subscription; that console requirement does not describe PC access.
2K also says the game supports online party continuity, instanced loot, dynamic level scaling, and individual difficulty. Those are publisher-stated features. The launch announcement has the publisher’s access and co-op details; 2K’s Borderlands 4 page lists the game and platforms.
