What role does Bryan Dechart play?
Dechart’s reported announcement said: “So excited to share that I play Agon, The Pit of Agonies in @SonySantaMonica’s God of War Sons of Sparta!” Insider Gaming reproduced the statement. Secondary cast listings also credit him as Bosun, so the two character credits should not be treated as equally confirmed by that announcement.

Who are the officially named performers?
PlayStation’s launch announcement names three performers in the central roles and identifies returning composer Bear McCreary:
- TC Carson — adult Kratos and narrator.
- Antony Del Rio — young Kratos.
- Scott Menville — young Deimos.
- Bear McCreary — composer.
PlayStation describes the other performers as newcomers but does not publish a complete cast roster in that overview.

The A.J. LoCascio role is specifically the IMDb credit; another database lists different character data. IMDb’s full cast page includes a broader roster, while MobyGames’ credits listing is another secondary reference. What is God of War: Sons of Sparta?
God of War: Sons of Sparta is a canonical 2D action platformer about Kratos’ youth and Agoge training alongside his brother Deimos. PlayStation frames the story around duty, honor, and brotherhood. The game was developed by Mega Cat Studios in collaboration with Santa Monica Studio, with writing from the team behind God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök. In an interview with Game Informer, game director Zack Manko described the young Kratos as being “pre-god powers” and said he does not yet know he is a god. The interview also quotes Mega Cat Studios founder and CEO James Deighan, who said God of War had been the studio’s number-one aspiration from the beginning.

The game launched digitally for PlayStation 5 on February 12, 2026. PlayStation Support lists Standard and Digital Deluxe editions and describes it as a single-player story experience; after the main campaign, The Pit can be played solo or in two-player local couch co-op. The launch overview listed prices of $29.99 USD for Standard and $39.99 USD for Digital Deluxe in its launch-region context; check the PlayStation Store for current pricing and availability in your region. The Deluxe edition adds listed in-game items, a digital artbook, soundtrack, and avatar. Regional availability and language settings may affect the experience.
