Battlefield 6’s peak was 255,770 higher—about 52% above Call of Duty’s. These figures compare simultaneous Steam users, not total players across platforms or unique game sales.

What “Call of Duty’s record” means here
The 491,670 figure belongs to the Call of Duty Steam app, which SteamDB describes as supporting multiple Call of Duty titles and Warzone. It is not a definitive record for every Call of Duty game or for the franchise across all platforms. The comparison is specifically between the two apps’ SteamDB concurrent-player peaks.
Why the platform scope matters
Steam concurrent-player counts cover Steam users only. EA lists Battlefield 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games Store. The SteamDB figure therefore does not represent Battlefield 6’s total simultaneous players across those platforms and storefronts.

How this differs from EA’s launch figures
In an announcement dated 24 October 2025, Electronic Arts reported more than 7 million copies sold in Battlefield 6’s first three days, more than 172 million online matches during the three-day weekend, and more than 15 million hours watched on streaming services during that weekend. Those are EA-reported sales and engagement figures; they measure different things from SteamDB’s peak of simultaneous Steam users. EA also said the game set a concurrent-player record for the Battlefield franchise, but did not define that statement as a cross-platform count or give an underlying number.

Why other trackers may show different numbers
Steam Charts lists Call of Duty’s November 2022 all-time peak as 488,897, rather than SteamDB’s 491,670. Its Battlefield 6 result also differs from SteamDB’s. Those figures should not be mixed into a comparison that uses SteamDB for one game and another tracker for the other. The available figures do not establish why the trackers differ.
