Battlefield 6 pre-loading was reported to begin on October 3, 2025, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. EA’s official worldwide launch time was October 10, 2025, at 8 a.m. PT (5 p.m. CET). The preload hour was not confirmed in EA’s launch announcement, and downloading the game did not unlock it early.
When did Battlefield 6 pre-load start?
TechRadar reported that pre-loading began on October 3, 2025, for all platforms. The report did not specify a start time, so there is no verified exact hour to give. EA’s official launch announcement did not state the full game’s preload date or time.
For PC, EA listed Steam, the EA app and Epic Games Store as platforms; the game was also announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. EA’s Battlefield 6 announcement identifies those platforms, while TechRadar’s schedule report gives the reported preload date.
When could players start playing?
EA scheduled Battlefield 6’s worldwide unlock for October 10, 2025, at 8 a.m. PT (5 p.m. CET). Access was set to begin simultaneously across regions, so the listed local times reflect the same global moment. This was the play-availability time, not the preload start. EA published the schedule on October 7 in its official launch-times announcement.

The dates are now historical: the reported preload began a week before the scheduled launch. Pre-loading made the download available in advance; it did not permit players to launch the full game before EA’s worldwide unlock.
What about the required launch patch?
EA said Battlefield Studios would deploy a required patch before worldwide launch. Players who had not enabled automatic updates were advised to download it manually. EA’s announcement did not establish whether that patch was included in the preload, so players should not assume that a pre-launch download contained every required update.

Was this the same as the open-beta preload?
No. EA’s separate open-beta schedule said beta pre-loading began on August 4, 2025, at 15:00 UTC (8 a.m. PT). That time applied to the beta, not the full game. See EA’s open-beta announcement for that separate schedule.
