In August 2025, PC Gamer reported that a Reddit user had shared alleged early-build images of Mirak Valley and Eastwood. The build’s origin was unclear, and the reported map-size comparisons were visual estimates—not verified measurements. EA separately confirmed that larger-scale maps were part of the launch package.
What did the Battlefield 6 datamine reportedly show?
In August 2025, PC Gamer reported that Reddit user Happysufigeee posted images said to be 3D exports of Mirak Valley and Eastwood from an “early game build.” The posts were reportedly deleted and the images reuploaded to Imgur. PC Gamer could not establish whether the build meant beta assets or another version, so the images should be treated as alleged leak material, not official map previews. PC Gamer’s report covered the original claim.
Of the two maps, Mirak Valley has independent official context: EA named it as a map in development for Battlefield Labs testing. That does not authenticate the leaked image. The sources here do not establish Eastwood’s role in the game, so it should not be described as a confirmed launch map.
How big are Mirak Valley and Eastwood?
There are no verified area measurements for the leaked map meshes in the cited coverage. The published comparisons are estimates from reported files, and they use different reference maps:

These figures are not interchangeable: one compares Mirak Valley with Liberation Peak, while the other compares it with Siege of Cairo. Neither establishes an exact playable area, and the reported estimates do not prove how large the maps feel in a match.
Did EA confirm that Battlefield 6 has big maps?
Yes. In its Open Beta debrief, EA acknowledged that the beta featured smaller, faster-paced maps, then said larger-scale maps were already included in the launch package. EA specifically named Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm for upcoming Battlefield Labs testing and described them as offering a fuller complement of vehicles and more expansive combat space. How did Battlefield 6’s big-map picture change later?
Later announcements add official map context but do not verify the 2025 leak. On October 28, 2025, EA described Fort Lyndon in Battlefield REDSEC as “Battlefield’s biggest map ever” and called Blackwell Fields a large-scale all-out-war experience. EA’s announcement establishes those descriptions as official, without supplying comparable area measurements.
In an August 11, 2026 guide, EA identified Wake Island as Battlefield 6’s 17th map, arriving in Season 4, and described it as designed for naval, air, and infantry combat.
