Its virtual CES 2025 event was scheduled for January 6 at 20:00 PST; that day, ASUS revealed products spanning those categories and more, including desktops and an external GPU.
What did ASUS tease before CES 2025?
In an announcement dated December 11, 2024, ASUS called its virtual event “Unlock the ROG Lab: For Those Who Dare.” The notice singled out the ROG Strix and Zephyrus laptop lines and previewed gaming laptops, graphics cards, NUC mini PCs, displays and routers. What did ROG announce on January 6?
The January 6 reveal covered more than the categories named in the teaser. ASUS announced graphics cards, laptops, mini PCs, desktop towers, monitors, routers and external GPUs. Highlights included the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, liquid-cooled Astral LC RTX 5090, 2025 Strix SCAR and Strix G laptops, Zephyrus G14 and G16, Flow Z13, XG Mobile, G700 desktops, the 2025 ROG NUC, Swift OLED PG27UCDM monitor and Rapture GT-BE19000AI router. What ASUS claimed about the Astral graphics cards
ASUS said the ROG Astral quad-fan design could deliver up to 20% higher airflow and air pressure. That figure is the manufacturer’s stated claim, not an independent test result.
