Reports about Battlestate Games’ Escape from Tarkov Terminal images date to 2024—not to a verified new reveal in 2026. The images’ contents remain unconfirmed from the available reports, while later game-update and official-channel notices show Terminal had become active game content by October 2026.
What was reported about the Terminal images?
Two separate 2024 reports are relevant, but neither lets readers confidently identify or inspect the image set implied by the headline.
- May 14, 2024: A community discussion said Nikita Buyanov posted a Terminal map teaser and Battlestate Games retweeted it. That attribution comes from the discussion, not a directly verified original post. Read the Reddit discussion.
- December 3, 2024: iXBT.games reported that Buyanov had published a collection of Terminal screenshots, describing it in the headline as a final location. The material available from that report does not establish what the images depict. Read the iXBT.games report.
These are different kinds of evidence: a community account of a social post in May and a secondary news report in December. Neither supports treating a particular image set as newly released in 2026.
What can—and cannot—be confirmed from the images?
The available reports do not verify whether the images were in-game captures, renders, or work in progress. They also do not provide a reliable basis for describing scenery, layout, characters, or other visual details. The title’s reference to “new” is therefore ambiguous: it could point to either 2024 report, but the evidence does not identify a newer 2026 release.

Terminal’s status as game content is a separate question
Later evidence establishes a different point: Terminal was active in the game by October 2026. An update listing dated October 6 reports a fix for an issue that prevented players from leaving Terminal’s starting area. See the update listing.
Battlestate Games’ official Escape from Tarkov Telegram channel also posted a notice about rewards after the final mission on Terminal. The channel describes itself as a source of the developer’s latest information. Check the official Telegram channel.

Out of Games’ 2026 roadmap summary attributes plans for an Icebreaker event in Terminal to a Battlestate livestream. That is secondary reporting about plans, not evidence about the contents or release date of the earlier image sets. Read the roadmap summary.
