Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThere is no source-verified road-racing car that is best in every Forza Horizon 5 class and on every route. Choose a car that fits the event’s performance class and the kind of race you expect: handling-focused circuits, faster layouts, or a balance of both. The recommendations below are useful starting points, not a definitive current leaderboard.
How to choose a road-racing car
Start with the class required by the event. A car that suits one class may not be eligible for another, and broad “best car” lists are not a substitute for matching the event’s restrictions.
Then consider what you want the car to do. Handling, acceleration, top speed, and all-round balance are useful comparison axes. A twisty route can reward control, while a faster layout may make speed more important; a community discussion makes this distinction for A-class road racing, but its recommendations are player opinion rather than controlled testing. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition
GamesRadar’s guide, dated February 3, 2026, recommends the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition for road races. It reports in-game ratings of 10 for handling, acceleration, launch, and braking. Those are the game attributes reported by the guide; they do not establish that the car beats every rival on every route or class. Read the GamesRadar guide.

Use strength-based recommendations carefully
A 2025 Johnson Racing video guide organizes recommendations across classes by handling, acceleration, speed, and all-round performance. That is a useful way to think about choosing a car, but the available car-by-car details are insufficient to reproduce its individual picks accurately. Watch the guide.
Check a car’s in-game availability
Before settling on a recommendation, confirm that the vehicle is listed in Forza Horizon 5 and check its acquisition route. The official car catalog is the primary reference for vehicle presence and listed acquisition information; consult the individual entry because a general list does not provide a complete availability breakdown for every car named here. What these recommendations can—and cannot—tell you
These sources support a class-aware shortlist and a way to compare driving strengths. They do not establish verified lap times or a current winner for each road-racing route. In Horizon Open, as in other road events, choose for the class and layout rather than assuming one ranked car will be best everywhere.
