How are mods different from built-in customization?
CrossWorlds already lets players combine tires and machine parts, change colors and stickers, and equip gadgets for different playstyles. Those are official game features, not downloadable mods. SEGA describes them in its support overview, which says: “Build the ultimate vehicle to match your racing style, unlock gadgets to gain the upper hand, and unleash power-up items to bring home the win!”
Build advice can change as the game is updated. SEGA’s March 19, 2026 notice for version 1.3.1 says the update added eight Ring-related Gadgets and made balance adjustments. For current gadget details, consult the official update notices rather than assuming older recommendations still apply.
