Prioritize Vitality and Luck for this setup, adding Agility when extra turns help; keep recovery or defensive options available if a fight punishes mistakes. This is a guide-backed recommendation, not an official ranking or a measured damage comparison.
Recommended Lune damage build
This flexible setup is designed around Lune’s Stain loop. Its effectiveness depends on your current weapon, available unlocks, and the encounter, so treat the listed Pictos and Luminas as priorities rather than mandatory equipment.

| Weapon | Trebuchim | Supports the Free Aim Stain-generation loop. |
| Core skills | Mayhem, Elemental Genesis, Thermal Transfer, Electrify | Spend Stains, convert suitable setups into damage or AP, and retain elemental coverage. |

How to play Lune’s Stain rotation
- Generate Stains: Use Free Aim with Trebuchim to build Stains. With relevant Luminas equipped, Free Aim may also apply Mark or Burn.
- Use Elemental Genesis when the pattern fits: When you have four different Stains—or Light Stains filling missing colors—and enough AP, Elemental Genesis is the area-damage option.
- Use Mayhem for a better single-target pattern: If four Stains are available but the pattern is not suitable for Elemental Genesis, Mayhem can provide single-target pressure and Break.
- Use Thermal Transfer conditionally: It is an AP-conversion option when its Burn and Stain requirements are satisfied, not a guaranteed extra turn each cycle. Sandfall Interactive’s July 30, 2025 patch 1.4.0 notes state that Thermal Transfer no longer grants an extra turn without the Stain-consumption requirement.
- Spend flex slots on the fight: Rebirth provides recovery, Thunderfall can cover groups, and Elemental Trick can make Stain setup more reliable when immediate damage is not the priority.
Choose attributes for your weapon and progression
For the Trebuchim plan, the guide-backed priority is Vitality and Luck, followed by Agility for additional turns. Recheck the equipped weapon’s scaling when you change weapons: copied endgame stat totals may not suit a different weapon or a lower-level character. Balance offense against survival, especially if missed dodges or parries routinely end the attempt.
Do not assume every endgame Picto or Lumina is available early. Build around what you have unlocked, preserve enough AP for the main rotation, and treat Free Aim as part of the Trebuchim setup rather than an optional filler action.

When to switch to a healer setup
If Lune cannot survive long enough to establish her damage loop, or a boss’s long phases make recovery more valuable than burst, shift her toward support. The cited guide recommends Snowim with Rebirth and Revitalization, Vitality and Agility investment, and recovery-focused Pictos or Luminas. Possible remaining skills include Typhoon, Wild Fire, Terraquake, and Elemental Genesis, selected for the fight. This is a situational role change, not simply a weaker damage build.
Pick the setup by encounter
| Situation | Better emphasis | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Short encounter with room to establish the loop | Trebuchim damage setup | Early Stain generation can lead into a fitting spender. |
| Four Stains and a pattern that suits area damage | Elemental Genesis | Use it when the required pattern, AP, and enemy coverage align. |
| Four Stains, but the pattern is unsuitable for Elemental Genesis | Mayhem | It offers single-target and Break pressure. |
| Long boss phases or frequent failed reactions | Snowim recovery setup or added survivability | Recovery and durability can matter more than damage before the engine stabilizes. |
| Unreliable Stain setup | Elemental Trick flex slot | Favor setup consistency over another immediate damage option. |
Party options
A progression-friendly party suggested by the guide is Lune, Verso, and Maelle. Lune generates Stains, can add Burn, and can carry recovery; Verso contributes Mark and steady damage; Maelle can turn Burn or Mark setup into a Virtuose payoff. It is a flexible recommendation, not a universally optimal trio.

For a support-leaning alternative, Lune, Maelle, and Monoco trade Verso’s Mark and Rank damage for more healing, buffs, debuffs, AP, and weakness coverage. Adjust the lineup to the encounter rather than forcing one party into every fight.
