Players reported trouble getting into College Football 25 during its July 2024 Early Access period, but the available evidence does not establish the cause, scope, or duration of a broad server outage. EA set worldwide release for July 19, 2024, after eligible players received Early Access beginning July 16. These are launch-window reports, not evidence of a current outage.
What was reported before the full release?
EA Forums search results surfaced a thread titled “College Football unable to get into Early Access,” as well as a separate “Server Maintenance” post. One indexed complaint mentioned repeated startup issues. The forum pages could not be opened for full review, so those snippets establish that players raised access concerns, but they do not confirm that all reports had the same cause or that the game suffered a widespread outage.

“Unable to get into Early Access” can describe several different problems, including server availability, scheduled maintenance, an edition or purchase entitlement issue, an account problem, or a PlayStation or Xbox service disruption. The accessible evidence does not identify which applied to the reported cases.
When did Early Access and the full release happen?

EA’s July 19 announcement framed the response positively. Senior Vice President and Group General Manager Daryl Holt said, “This game is for the fans, and the response we’ve seen from across the collegiate landscape, athletes, creators, celebrities and the core community has been nothing short of spectacular,” EA’s launch-day release. That comment does not address the reported access issues.

What is known—and not known—about the reports?
The available records do not establish an outage’s start or end time, how many players were affected, whether EA or a console platform was responsible, which game modes were affected, or whether the issue was resolved before worldwide release. They also do not establish that the reported problems continued at launch. The player totals EA announced show the size of its reported Early Access audience, but they cannot establish a cause.
EA developed College Football 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to its official game page. That makes console-service status a separate check from EA’s own game-server status.

How to check a connection problem now
For a present-day EA connection problem, EA recommends checking its real-time server-status page. Its current listing includes College Football 26 and College Football 27, but not College Football 25; it therefore does not confirm CFB 25’s current service state.
