Braccus Rex’s Tower is an Act 1 location in the Hollow Marshes in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Reach it after completing The Gargoyle’s Maze. Inside, the undead necromancers Gwick, Rask, and Tamsyn—and the soul jars tied to their fate—are central to A Fate Worse than Death. The tower also contains the Hands of the Tyrant, part of Artefacts of the Tyrant.
Where is Braccus Rex’s Tower?
The tower is in the Hollow Marshes, at approximately X:571, Y:65. Access follows The Gargoyle’s Maze; the location guide places it beyond that area. See the location guide.
How do you reach the tower?

Progress through The Gargoyle’s Maze.

Enter the tower area and descend the steps. A walkthrough describes finding the necromancers playing cards nearby. Consult the Definitive Edition walkthrough.
Your encounter may differ depending on what you have already done with the soul jars. The available quest account describes different outcomes when the jars have already been taken or destroyed, so do not assume every visit begins in the same quest state.

What to do about Gwick, Rask, and Tamsyn
The three undead necromancers are bound to the area through their soul jars. Their fate is the key decision in A Fate Worse than Death: destroying the jars can grant them eternal rest. Tamsyn’s key opens the tower’s inner area. Because the quest state can change based on earlier choices, check your journal and the current encounter before acting; a particular reward or outcome is not guaranteed across all playthroughs. Where are the Hands of the Tyrant?
The Hands of the Tyrant are in a coffin in the tower and are part of Artefacts of the Tyrant. This is a separate objective from resolving the necromancers’ soul-jar quest. Artefacts of the Tyrant quest guide.

How the tower differs from the Vault of Braccus Rex
The Tower of Braccus Rex and the Vault of Braccus Rex are related Act 1 locations, but they are not the same place. The vault is a separate Dark Cavern quest area associated with Trompdoy. Madman’s Enclave is another distinct space in the vault area, where Gratiana’s soul jar is found for The Eternal Worshipper. A 2017 Larian forum thread about the well’s “tunes” includes a player suggestion to cast Rain on the well or use a Rain scroll. Treat it as a hint rather than a fully verified solution. The thread does not establish the intended solution for the button beside the barrier or the lever. If you want to avoid wasting resources or spoiling the puzzle, save before experimenting.
