EA announced refreshed broadcast graphics, context-aware commentary, and expanded stadium audio for EA SPORTS College Football 26. The changes span in-game stat banners, play-call presentation, marching-band music, chants, and crowd recordings—not just the menu soundtrack. EA described the planned features in 2025; the announcements establish what was intended, not independent testing of how each feature performs in play.

What changed in the broadcast presentation?

EA said new broadcast banners would appear at several points in a game, including team entry, between quarters, and halftime. The information could vary by moment, with examples such as quarterback or top-player comparisons, defensive lineups, running backs, and a team’s impact players. EA also refreshed the information panel on the play-call screen. EA’s presentation deep dive describes the planned graphics.

The changes are intended to make the presentation surface relevant team and player information at different stages of a broadcast, rather than relying on one static overlay.

Who provides commentary, and how is it supposed to respond?

EA named Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Desmond Howard, and Rece Davis as commentators. In its May 29, 2025 overview, the publisher said commentary would respond to game events as well as a team’s or player’s longer-term story. Its examples included a difficult loss, repeated 400-yard performances, a Dynasty team’s progress, and a Road to Glory player’s development.

That means the announced goal was commentary tied to a season or career arc, not only to the current play. EA’s announcement does not establish how often those lines occur or how varied they sound in actual games.

What music and stadium audio did EA announce?

EA described several distinct layers of game audio: PA music, marching-band pieces, fight songs and rousers, drumline tracks, chants, and crowd recordings. The counts below are EA’s published figures; categories are not necessarily mutually exclusive, so they should not be added together as a single total.

Announced category EA-reported detail
Marching-band pieces 88 new pieces, including 20 new drumline tracks, 15 new fight songs, and 16 marching-band pop covers, according to the presentation deep dive.
Rousers 49 new rousers, reported separately in EA Music’s July 11, 2025 soundtrack announcement.
Chants 160 additional chants across modes, according to the presentation deep dive.
Crowd recordings Recordings from over 40 games in the 2024 season added to crowd banks, according to the presentation deep dive.

PA music and stadium favorites

EA said returning PA favorites included “Sandstorm,” “Zombie Nation,” “Tsunami,” and “Mo Bamba.” New additions it listed included “Shipping up to Boston,” “Mr. Brightside,” “Seven Nation Army,” and “Enter Sandman.” The publisher also described added chant and singing elements alongside “Mr. Brightside” and “Enter Sandman.”

Marching-band music, fight songs, and rousers

EA said the Auburn University Marching Band recorded a new version of the game’s theme under director Dr. Corey Spurlin. EA Music identifies the theme as “Campus Clash Theme,” credits its composition to Kris Bowers, and notes Auburn’s win in the 2023 Metallica Marching Band Competition. EA’s use of “marching-band piece,” “fight song,” “rouser,” and “cover” refers to different groupings; the published counts should not be treated as a count of unique tracks.
