No—not for your regular Stash. The latest official limit located in Bethesda’s patch notes is 1,200 pounds, and the official sources reviewed do not document a player-controlled upgrade or item that raises it. Fallout 1st provides separate storage for crafting components and eligible ammunition, but it does not expand the standard Stash.
What is the Fallout 76 Stash limit?
Bethesda raised the general Stash limit to 1,200 pounds in its January 26, 2021 inventory update, describing the change as a 50% increase. The listed client versions—1.5.1.26 for PC and 1.5.1.25 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One—refer to that 2021 update, not current versions. Bethesda’s January 2021 notes say, “We’ve increased the amount of weight your Stash can hold by 50%, giving you 1,200 pounds to work with.”
That is the latest official general capacity increase located. Bethesda’s April 21, 2026 update notes do not announce a general Stash increase, but that does not establish that every later change or the live value has been exhaustively verified.
Can you upgrade the regular Stash?
The official sources reviewed do not document an in-game upgrade, perk, or physical item that increases the standard Stash limit. Bethesda has raised the limit through game updates before: in 2019, Patch 6 increased it from 600 to 800 pounds, and in 2021 it rose to 1,200 pounds. Those developer changes are different from an upgrade a player can activate or build.

Bethesda’s 2018 explanation said the original limit had technical reasons, including limiting how many items the game tracked in the world, and that increasing it required care to avoid stability risks. That historical explanation is context, not a guarantee about every later engineering decision. Bethesda Game Studios’ November 2018 explanation described the limit as a way “to cap the number of items the game is tracking in the world, including every container and stash.”
Does Fallout 1st increase Stash space?
No. Fallout 1st includes two separate storage containers for specific item categories. They can help move eligible items out of your regular Stash, but neither adds pounds to its capacity.
