No. In Path of Exile, a corrupted item cannot receive a normal enchantment. If you want an enchantment on equipment, apply it before corrupting the item.
Why corruption blocks enchantments
An enchantment occupies a distinct modifier slot, and the Path of Exile Wiki’s Modifiers reference says mirrored or corrupted items cannot receive one. The rule applies to ordinary equipment and normal enchantments.
Corruption generally prevents further crafting with orbs, though some socket and link changes are exceptions. Those exceptions do not allow you to add an enchantment. The Path of Exile Wiki and PoEDB describe the broader crafting restriction; PoEDB also notes that exceptional unique items may explicitly say they can be modified while corrupted.
When to enchant an item
- Apply the desired enchantment while the equipment is not corrupted.
- Corrupt it afterward, understanding that corruption can prevent further changes, including adding another enchantment.
Labyrinth enchantments are received from the Divine Font at the end of the Labyrinth, according to the Labyrinth enchantment reference. That article warns that it needs updating for version 3.14, so its detailed enchantment lists may not reflect current game information.

Corrupted gems are a separate case
Specialized Labyrinth crafts for corrupted gems are not a way to enchant ordinary corrupted equipment. In an official forum reply dated March 22, 2026, Grinding Gear Games staff member Aria_GGG said of a specific craft on an imbued corrupted transfigured gem: “Yes, it is intended that imbued gems cannot be modified by these Labyrinth crafts.” That statement concerns the named gem craft, not the general equipment-enchantment rule.
