Short answer: The Doom Slayer can be wounded, but the official Bethesda material cited here does not establish whether he can ultimately be killed. Being hurt or trapped is not proof of either mortality or immortality.
Can the Doom Slayer be killed?
There is no definitive yes-or-no answer in the official Bethesda material cited here. Bethesda describes the Slayer as superhuman and as a “super weapon,” but does not say that he is immortal or set out a rule proving that he can—or cannot—ultimately die.
That distinction matters: a character can be powerful without being invulnerable, and evidence that he is injured does not establish that he can be killed.
Can the Doom Slayer be hurt?
Yes. Bethesda’s official DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations synopsis describes him as “Wounded and betrayed” and says he is thrust into a merciless purgatory. This confirms that the story places him in a wounded and constrained state; it does not say that he dies.

Bethesda’s June 9, 2024 announcement calls DOOM: The Dark Ages a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, and describes the Slayer as having superhuman strength. Those descriptions establish his extraordinary power, not immunity to death.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the official story call him immortal?
Not in the cited Bethesda descriptions. They portray him as exceptionally powerful and explicitly say he can be wounded, but do not provide a definitive answer about whether he can ultimately die. The assessment here is limited to those official game and story descriptions, not every codex entry or line of dialogue across the DOOM series.
