Shalamayne is Varian Wrynn’s named story weapon, not a player reward identified in the official material covered here. There is a related player-facing cosmetic, but it is not the original weapon: Felscorned Shalamayne is a weapon illusion based on the sword. An illusion changes a weapon’s appearance through transmog; it does not give a character Varian’s story item.
What was the Felscorned Shalamayne reward?
Blizzard included Varian’s fel-corrupted swords among Legion Remix rewards. Its reward listing places Fallen King’s Corrupted Blades under The Broken Shore during the Legionfall phase. That was a limited-time event reward, not an ordinary repeatable quest route. Blizzard’s final-weekend notice, published January 15, 2026, told players to spend Bronze before January 19 and said Remix-specific items, equipment, and quests would be removed when characters returned to the main timeline. Can you still obtain the appearance?
The Legion Remix acquisition window closed on January 19, 2026. The documented route for earning Fallen King’s Corrupted Blades—and thereby unlocking the Felscorned Shalamayne appearance—has ended. WoW.gg’s guide, updated August 28, 2026, also describes the appearance as unavailable after the event. Neither source establishes that Blizzard has brought it back or that it is obtainable through another current route. A future return is possible, but no return should be assumed unless Blizzard announces one.
