No. Epic Games does not allow V-Bucks to be transferred between separate Epic Games accounts, and it says two accounts cannot be merged. If you want to give another player V-Bucks, the supported option is a physical V-Bucks card that they redeem on their own account.
Can you move an existing V-Bucks balance to another account?
No. Epic’s account-merger guidance says there is no way to merge two Epic Games accounts and specifically lists V-Bucks as something that cannot be transferred between accounts. Epic Support cannot merge accounts for you.

This applies to separate Epic accounts, even if you own both or the accounts belong to family members. Moving between platforms is a different issue: it concerns using one account across devices, not transferring its balance to another account.
How can you give someone V-Bucks?
Epic’s V-Bucks gifting guidance says to buy a physical V-Bucks card from a participating retailer and give it to the recipient to redeem on their Epic account. Epic says giftable V-Bucks cannot be purchased through its online store.
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable on accounts in the United States and in U.S. Dollars.
- Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
- If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts
- Requires internet connection, valid Epic account and prior acceptance of the terms
- Redemption: Online
Fortnite’s in-game gifting feature does not provide another route: Epic’s gifting guidance lists V-Bucks, including Fortnite packs that contain V-Bucks, among items that cannot be gifted. A card gives the recipient a new balance; it does not move V-Bucks out of the purchaser’s account.
Check the card’s region before buying
Epic’s V-Bucks card terms say cards may be restricted to accounts registered in the country where the card is distributed. Confirm that the card can be redeemed in the recipient’s country and review its redemption instructions. Refundability may depend on how the card was purchased, so check the applicable terms and retailer policy.

Why might V-Bucks appear on one platform but not another?
V-Bucks availability across devices is governed by shared-wallet rules, not account transfers. Epic’s platform-sharing guidance says V-Bucks bought on Nintendo Switch are not shared with other platforms. V-Bucks earned through Fortnite Passes, Quest Packs, or Save the World are shared across platforms.
For content and progress to carry across platforms, the platform accounts must be linked to the same Epic Games account. Epic explains this in its account-linking guidance. Linking platforms to one account does not let you combine balances from two separate Epic accounts.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device.
