Yes—in God of War Ragnarök, set Motion Blur to 0 under Options → Accessibility → Motion Reduction. The instructions here are for Ragnarök; the exact route is not established for every version or platform of the 2018 God of War.
How to turn off Motion Blur in God of War Ragnarök
- Pause the game or open Options.
- Select Accessibility.
- Open Motion Reduction.
- Move the Motion Blur slider to 0, its minimum setting.

If the camera still feels too active
Motion Blur changes the blur effect; it does not control all camera movement. In the same Motion Reduction section, Camera Shake and Ambient Camera Sway have separate 0–10 sliders, so adjust them independently if those movements are the issue.
- Camera Shake: short, sudden, high-frequency movement, usually during combat.
- Ambient Camera Sway: slow, looping handheld movement during gameplay, typically while idling or traversing; it does not affect cinematic moments.
- Cinematic Smoothing: a separate On/Off setting that smooths handheld camera movement during cinematics where possible.
These controls address distinct visual effects, and changing them cannot guarantee a particular comfort outcome for every player.

What the Motion Reduction preset changes
Ragnarök offers Off, Some, and Full Motion Reduction presets. The preset applies selected values to several motion-related settings, including Camera Shake, Ambient Camera Sway, Cinematic Smoothing, Persistent Dot, Motion Blur, and Film Grain. PlayStation does not list the exact value each preset assigns, so check the Motion Blur slider directly if you want to confirm it is at 0.
Motion Blur is separate from Film Grain
Film Grain has its own 0–10 setting in Motion Reduction. It is not the Motion Blur control; changing one does not substitute for changing the other.

Does this apply to the 2018 God of War?
The documented menu path above is for God of War Ragnarök. The official material cited here does not establish the same path or slider range for the 2018 game on every platform. If you mean the earlier release, check its own Accessibility or Display settings rather than assuming Ragnarök’s menu labels apply.
