Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, according to Konami and Nintendo. It is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version is listed as compatible with Switch 2, rather than as a separate Switch 2 edition.
When does Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse come out?
The scheduled release date is October 15, 2026. Konami announced the date for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam; Nintendo’s Switch listing gives the same date. Because the launch is close, check the relevant store listing for any last-minute change or availability update. Konami’s official game page and the Nintendo Switch listing show the current date.
What platforms is it coming to?
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Xbox on PC
- Steam
- Nintendo Switch
Nintendo lists the Switch version as supported on Switch 2 with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. That is compatibility for the Switch game, not confirmation of a distinct Switch 2 edition. Konami’s release announcement and Nintendo’s store page provide the platform details.
What kind of Castlevania game is it?
Konami describes Belmont’s Curse as an exploration-based 2D action game developed jointly by Konami and Evil Empire, with advisory help from Motion Twin. The publisher says the Vampire Killer whip is used for both combat and traversal; its descriptions also mention weapons, spells, hidden rooms, secrets, puzzles and traps. These are publisher-provided details, not independent gameplay findings. Konami’s announcement and its June release-date announcement outline the game.

Konami announced additional physical preorder or early-purchase bonuses at selected EMEA retailers: a SteelBook with the physical Midnight Edition and a Rose Belmont tarot card featuring exclusive Katsuya Terada art at selected retailers. These regional offers depend on retailer availability and stock; the announcement does not establish that they apply in the US or remain available. Konami’s announcement has the regional details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which edition or platform should you choose?
The standard edition is the straightforward option if you only want the game. Choose the Midnight Edition if its gallery, costumes and relic are worth the added bundle contents to you. The physical retailer bonuses are limited by region and availability, so they should not be treated as guaranteed parts of every copy.
