You can install the community-made Titanfall 2 VR campaign mod on a Windows PC using CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer, then start your headset’s VR runtime and choose Launch in VR in the installer. Launching Titanfall 2 the usual way starts the unmodded game.
What the Titanfall 2 VR mod includes
This is a community mod for Titanfall 2’s campaign, not an official release from Respawn or Electronic Arts. It is installed with CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer, which also installs Northstar into a separate TF2VR profile in the game directory. The project does not establish multiplayer support, so treat it as a campaign experience.
The installer source is MIT-licensed, but the project README says the installed mods are closed source and may not be redistributed without permission. See the official installer repository and README for project details.
What you need before installing
- A Windows PC with Titanfall 2 installed through Steam, EA, or Xbox. The installer looks for the game in these installation sources.
- The EA app. The installer checks for it and says it is needed to play. If it is missing, the README advises launching Titanfall 2 once so the app can be installed.
- A PC-connected VR headset and its runtime. Start the runtime used by your headset before launching the mod. The project does not publish a complete headset/runtime compatibility matrix, minimum PC specifications, or a frame-rate target, so check compatibility for your particular setup rather than assuming every combination works. If you are choosing a headset, confirm PC and runtime compatibility before buying.

How to install the Titanfall 2 VR mod
- Install Titanfall 2 on your Windows PC through Steam, EA, or Xbox, then launch the game once if the EA app is not installed.
- Download and open CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer from the official project repository.
- Follow the installer’s prompts. It locates the game and installs Northstar and the VR mod into a separate
TF2VRprofile in the game directory.
How to launch it with your headset
- Connect your headset to the PC and start SteamVR or the VR runtime you use.
- Open the installer and select Launch in VR.
Starting Titanfall 2 through its normal game launcher does not activate the mod; the project README says, “Launching Titanfall 2 normally stays unmodded.” Use the installer’s VR launch option for the modded campaign.
Understand the separate VR campaign save
The VR campaign uses a separate save location: %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR. A guide published by VR.org on October 4, 2026, says the VR campaign starts a new save; existing campaign progress should not be expected to carry over. You can find its installation guide at VR.org.

Compatibility and version notes
Headset and runtime support is not documented as a comprehensive compatibility list, and the available project documentation does not give a minimum PC specification or performance target. If the installer does not find your game, first check that it is installed through a supported source and that the EA app is present; for runtime or headset issues, consult the installer documentation and the support information in the project repository.
VR.org’s October 4, 2026 guide reported package version 1.0.12 at 73.9 MB at that time. Those are dated secondary-source figures, not a guarantee of the current release. Check the official release information for the latest version rather than relying on an older version number.
