Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor smoother play in The Crew Motorfest, select Performance mode on base PS5 when available; on PC, start with the resolution and preset closest to your hardware, then adjust one setting at a time and retest. Ubisoft’s PC requirements give target configurations, not guaranteed frame rates, and the available official sources do not quantify how much any individual PC setting improves FPS.
Choose the right mode on PlayStation 5
Ubisoft’s November 7, 2024 announcement documents two modes on base PS5. Performance targets 60 FPS, with an average 1425p render resolution during missions before upscaling. Quality targets 30 FPS at 2160p. These are Ubisoft’s stated specifications, not independent measurements of every scene or current patch.

- Choose Performance if smoother motion and the 60 FPS target matter more than native output resolution.
- Choose Quality if you prefer the higher stated resolution and are comfortable with the 30 FPS target.
On PS5 Pro, Ubisoft describes a 60 FPS configuration with PSSR 4K-like output and an average 1696p render resolution during missions before upscaling. The announcement says it combines quality and performance features. Ubisoft’s PS5 Pro announcement is dated November 7, 2024.
What to expect on Xbox Series X and Series S
A launch-era guide from Pure Xbox, published September 12, 2023, reported that Series X offered Quality at 30 FPS and Performance with 60 FPS support at lower resolution. It reported one 30 FPS mode on Series S. This is dated third-party launch information, not confirmation of the current patched options. Check the game’s current Video or Graphics menu on your console to see which modes are available. Ubisoft’s July 2, 2025 Season 7 notes cover HDR/SDR calibration but do not confirm Xbox performance modes.

Use Ubisoft’s PC targets to choose a starting point
Ubisoft lists PC configurations by resolution, frame-rate target and graphics preset. Use them to orient your starting settings, not as a promise: results can differ with the scene, drivers, laptop power limits, background activity and game updates. The requirements page was published with the 2023 release and accessed October 7, 2026.
| Ubisoft target | Processor | Graphics card | Memory |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1920×1080, 30 FPS, Low (minimum) | Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-4460 | Radeon RX 480 8 GB or GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB | 8 GB dual-channel |
| 1920×1080, 60 FPS, High (recommended) | Ryzen 7 2700X or Core i5-8400 | Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB or GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB | 8 GB dual-channel |
| 2560×1440, 60 FPS, High | Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-10600K | Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB or GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB | 16 GB dual-channel |

For storage, Ubisoft lists 40 GB and recommends an SSD; it does not identify an SSD as an FPS fix. See the full Ubisoft PC requirements before comparing your system with a target.

Tune PC settings without guessing at FPS gains
Ubisoft’s published materials do not provide current, setting-by-setting PC benchmarks, so there is no supported basis here for claiming that a particular toggle delivers a specific FPS increase. Use a repeatable comparison instead:
- Record a baseline. Note your resolution, graphics preset, frame-rate cap and an FPS reading in a scene you can revisit. Keep the scene and other conditions as consistent as possible.
- Reduce workload in small steps. If performance is below your goal, try lowering render resolution or resolution scale, then change one visual setting at a time. This is general troubleshooting logic, not a tested ranking of Motorfest settings.
- Retest and compare. Use the same scene and conditions. Keep a change only if the frame rate improves enough to justify its effect on image quality; otherwise, revert it and test another setting.
- Check mirrors if you want another option. Ubisoft’s November 5, 2024 Season 5 notes document a rear-view mirror toggle under PC Quality settings, but do not quantify its FPS effect. Turning mirrors off may change the view, and no specific performance gain is established. See the Season 5 patch notes.
If your hardware falls well short of Ubisoft’s target for the resolution you want, reducing settings may lower the graphics workload but cannot guarantee that the system will meet the target. Compare your own repeatable readings before deciding whether a lower resolution or preset is an acceptable trade-off.
