Are Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 out yet?
Yes. Toby Fox confirmed in his autumn 2025 newsletter that Chapters 3 and 4 had been released. The official DELTARUNE site now lists Chapters 1–5 as available and says additional chapters are planned as free updates.

When did Chapters 3 and 4 come out?
The official autumn 2025 newsletter confirms their release, but the available information here does not give a specific launch date. It is safer to describe them as released by autumn 2025 than to assign an exact date.
Why did an earlier update say they were almost ready?
That wording reflects an earlier development snapshot, not the current release status. In a September 2022 update, Fox said work was happening simultaneously on Chapters 3, 4, and 5, with most of the work then concentrated on Chapters 3 and 4. He also said the team had already created more than one chapter’s worth of bullets, cutscenes, and gimmicks across those chapters. Those comments described progress at that time; they should not be read as a present-day estimate.

By September 8, 2025, Fox’s newsletter had moved on to Chapter 5 progress: its early portion was complete, while later areas were still in draft or prototype stages, and localization and testing remained. A summer 2026 newsletter subsequently said Chapter 5 had released about a month earlier and that development focus had shifted to Chapters 6 and 7.
What Deltarune chapters are available now?
The official site lists Chapters 1–5 as available. The planned additional chapters are described as free updates. Chapter 6 is in development, but it is not complete: Fox’s summer 2026 newsletter gives 2027 as the target year. In the original Japanese, he wrote, “なお、Chapter 6は2027年にリリースできると思っています。” (“Also, for those wondering, I think Chapter 6 can be released in 2027.”) That is an expectation, not a confirmed launch date.

Where can you play the full game?
The official FAQ lists the full game for PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It lists the North American price as $24.99, with prices in other regions roughly equivalent. Store availability and platform purchase terms can differ; the FAQ notes Switch and Switch 2 cross-download terms and PS4/PS5 Cross-Buy details, including a Japan-specific fee exception for the Switch versions. Check the official FAQ for the applicable store and regional terms.
The FAQ says there is no physical game edition yet. Toby Fox’s release newsletter said the soundtrack was available on Steam and Bandcamp, with other platforms to follow later; soundtrack availability is separate from purchasing the game.
