Bungie’s official Destiny 10th anniversary announcement is confirmed; the specific leaked plans implied by this headline are not. On September 9, 2024, Bungie announced Destiny 2 celebration activities, armor, a title and seal, and related merchandise. No reliable source identified here establishes a separate leak or verifies claims beyond Bungie’s announcement.
Are the Destiny 10th anniversary plans leak confirmed?
No specific leak has been verified. Bungie’s September 9, 2024 post is an official announcement, not proof that an earlier leak existed or that any unattributed leak claims were accurate. Without the original post or reliable reporting that identifies it, there is no sound basis for presenting alleged leaked details as fact.

The confirmed plans below are the details Bungie itself announced. They should not be confused with rumors or later community speculation. Bungie: “Ten Years of Destiny” (September 9, 2024).
What Bungie announced for the celebration
Class armor in the Pale Heart
Bungie said players could find class armor inspired by early Destiny concept art around the Tower in the Pale Heart, starting September 9, 2024. The announcement framed the celebration for both solo players and fireteams.

- 1 Epic Collection
- Level 40 Character Boost
The Legend title and seal
Bungie announced the Legend title and seal, with objectives in the Pale Heart. Earning it also required completing The Final Shape campaign on Legend difficulty. Players who had already completed the campaign on Legendary did not need to repeat it.
An Exotic sniper rifle in an upcoming dungeon
Bungie previewed the anniversary celebration by saying an Exotic sniper rifle would resurface in an upcoming dungeon. The cited announcement did not provide a release date for that dungeon, so it should not be treated as a dated event schedule.

How to evaluate a claim about leaked plans
Before treating a post as a leak, check whether it identifies an original source and whether that source actually predates Bungie’s announcement. Then compare its specific claims with the official details above. An unattributed claim, or a later post repeating Bungie’s already-public plans, does not establish a leak.
- Who published the alleged leak, and when?
- Does the original post say what was supposedly revealed, rather than merely repeating confirmed information?
- Has Bungie or credible independent reporting corroborated or contradicted the claim?
Later Destiny updates do not verify a 2024 leak
Bungie’s later statements provide context for Destiny 2’s service lifecycle, but they do not authenticate any anniversary leak. On May 21, 2026, Bungie said the June 9, 2026 release would be Destiny 2’s final live-service content update and that the game would remain playable. Bungie: “Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning” (May 21, 2026).
On September 17, 2026, Bungie said Destiny remained foundational to its future and described restoring important parts of Destiny 2 history as an initial step. That statement likewise did not confirm the specific anniversary leak implied by the headline. Bungie: “The Next Chapter for Bungie” (September 17, 2026).
Bungie’s separate September 9, 2024 roadmap described Codename: Frontiers and a then-planned annual model of two expansions and four major free content updates. That was the plan announced in 2024, not a current forecast. Bungie: “Paving the Way for New Frontiers” (September 9, 2024).
