What changed in Diablo 4 patch 1.5.2?
Blizzard listed four player-facing changes under Infernal Hordes:
- Mounts and pets appear on the loading screen.
- Opening Hellbreach Dungeon chests requires a channel action, intended to reduce accidental clicks.
- Each player receives the Frenzied and Mindcage titles on their first monster kill after the patch goes live. This addressed title acquisition problems during Season of Loot Reborn.
- The Season Journey task to defeat Helltide Commanders was reduced from 20 defeats to 5. Blizzard’s patch notes state: “The Season Journey task to defeat Helltide Commanders has been reduced from 20 to 5.”

User experience and interface
- A Helltide Threat Level that briefly reset and a missing five-minute warning.

- A door that could not open during “Of Lambs and Wolves.”

Gameplay and other fixes
- Hydra visuals, Frost Nova visibility for other players, Shadow Clone and aspect interactions, and Poison Trap damage over time.
- Helltide cinder carryover; Local Co-op attack speed and duplicate casting animations; and item issues with the Purveyor of Curiosities.
- A Masterworking issue for Waxing Gibbous and instability when opening the Infernal Hordes Spoils of Gold chest with high Aether.
- Helltide weather effects, along with general stability and performance improvements.

The September 6, 2024 all-platform hotfix, build #57673, corrected a mismatched outline for Wings of the Damned and Wings of the Faith when Additional Player Highlight was enabled. Blizzard also listed “Various stability and performance improvements.” This follow-up is separate from the September 3 update 1.5.2 release.
