Delver’s Drill is a red, one-slot Act 1 tool listed in Underworks in Hollow Knight: Silksong. It delivers a downward spinning, piercing attack and can help with platforming. A guide lists its damage as still under verification, so there is no confirmed damage figure to rely on.
Where to find Delver’s Drill
The third-party Silksong Tools: All Tools, Locations, Damage & Best Picks guide lists Delver’s Drill in Underworks and marks it as available in Act 1. It classifies the tool as red and costing one slot. The guide does not establish a more precise pickup route here, so treat Underworks as the location rather than assuming a specific room or sequence.
What Delver’s Drill does
The guide describes a downward spinning drill attack that deals piercing damage, with additional use for platforming. Its role is therefore more specialized than a general-purpose attack: it is aimed below Hornet and may be useful when navigating hazards or interacting with targets beneath her.
The guide explicitly says its numerical damage information is still being verified. No specific damage value should be treated as confirmed, and the available evidence does not establish how its damage compares numerically with other tools.

Can you pogo with Delver’s Drill?
Players discussed downward bouncing with the drill in a Steam Community thread dated September 16 through October 26, 2025. A reply reports that bouncing from damaging surfaces such as spikes consumes a charge. These are community reports, not an official mechanics description, so they indicate how some players experienced the interaction rather than guaranteeing its behavior in every current version or situation. When to equip it
Consider Delver’s Drill when a downward attack or platforming utility fits the section you are playing. Its one-slot cost is part of the decision: weigh that slot against the other tools in your setup and whether you expect to use its downward attack. The available guide cautions that tool value depends on build and role, so there is no established universal ranking for Delver’s Drill.

Base-game tool or mod?
Delver’s Drill is listed as a game tool in the third-party guide. Separately, the Nexus Mods listing ArchitectDrill at Hollow Knight: Silksong Nexus – Mods and Community describes a fan-made mod that replaces Architect’s downward attack with a Delver’s Drill effect. That modification is not evidence that the base-game Architect attack works the same way.
No official Team Cherry documentation or patch notes directly addressing Delver’s Drill were identified in the available sources. Its official wording and patch-specific behavior therefore remain unconfirmed.
