Spoilers for Dispatch Season 1. To steer Invisigal toward becoming a hero, fan investigators say you need to build her hidden mentor score through story choices and your performance as her dispatcher. Dialogue choices alone may not be enough: the reported hero threshold is 45 points, while the story-event maximum is 36—or 42 with the romance bonus. These figures come from community analysis of game files and save data, not an official mechanics guide, so treat this as a documented route rather than a guarantee across every game version.
What “the best ending” means in Dispatch
Dispatch has separate outcomes that players may mean when they ask for the “best” ending. Invisigal can end up on a hero or villain path, while Robert receives a separate Hero, Antihero, or Everyman label. Improving Invisigal’s chances does not automatically determine Robert’s label.
The community investigation calls Invisigal’s hidden mentor variable NV_RobertMentorCounter. It reports that reaching 45 points is the threshold for her hero disposition. How to build Invisigal’s reported mentor score
According to the fan breakdown, the counter can be affected by dialogue choices, hacking sequences, QTEs, and dispatch-shift performance. Its reported figures show why doing well in the story may still leave points to earn on the job:

The same investigation reports that the story-event total can reach 36 without romance and 42 with the romance bonus. Since both totals are below the stated 45-point threshold, dispatch performance matters on either route.
Make the story choices that support her heroism
When a choice affects the mentor counter, select the option the fan breakdown identifies as supporting Invisigal’s hero path. The investigation also includes relevant hacking sequences and QTEs, but the trigger-by-trigger list is not reproduced here; the available evidence supports those categories, not a claim that every hack or QTE changes the score. Use dispatch shifts to close the gap
Assign Invisigal to calls she can successfully complete, and finish her Hero Training when it becomes available. The reported scoring is direct: each success adds one point, each failure subtracts one, and Hero Training adds five. Because the story and romance ceilings remain below the reported threshold, do not rely on a perfect dialogue run—or romance alone—to reach it.
Is romance required?
No, not according to the reported scoring. The romance route is said to add as many as six points, raising the story-related ceiling from 36 to 42, but that still does not reach the stated 45-point threshold. Romance is therefore an optional boost, not a reported requirement; dispatch points are needed either way. The community score breakdown.

Why “guarantee” needs a caveat
PC Gamer reported AdHoc Discord support staff Polly’s clarification: “There was no glitch that caused Invisigal to always kill Shroud. Succeeding or failing as Invisigal’s mentor is not solely tied to the choices you make as Robert, but also the decisions you make as her dispatcher across the season’s shifts.” PC Gamer’s report.
That clarification aligns with the fan-documented route: Robert’s story decisions are only part of the picture, and dispatch choices matter too. The numeric threshold and point values, however, come from fan analysis of game files and save data rather than an official developer mechanics guide. They should be understood as reported values, not independently established guarantees for every version of the game. No population figure establishes how often players reach any particular ending.

A practical route for the outcomes you want
- For Invisigal: Favor the story options identified as supporting her heroism, and aim to succeed at the hacking sequences and QTEs that contribute to the counter.
- For her mentor score: Put her on calls she can handle, try to secure successful outcomes, and complete Hero Training when it becomes available.
- For romance: Pursue it if you want the reported bonus, but do not treat it as necessary or sufficient to reach the reported threshold.
- For Robert: Make his choices separately based on whether you want the Hero, Antihero, or Everyman label; the late decision involving Shroud is identified as significant to that outcome.
