Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsNo. A World of Warcraft subscription includes access to past expansions, so you do not have to purchase the older expansions one by one. To play the current expansion, Midnight, you must buy it separately and also have an active subscription or non-recurring game time.
Do you need to buy old WoW expansions?
No. Blizzard says a subscription provides “access to every past expansion.” If you want to play content from older expansions, buying each one separately is not required under the access terms described on Blizzard’s subscription page.
What do you need to play Midnight?
Blizzard identifies Midnight as the latest expansion and says you must purchase it from the Battle.net Shop to play its content. You also need either an active subscription or non-recurring game time; buying the expansion alone does not provide that ongoing game access. See Blizzard’s getting-started page for the stated requirements.
What does a Midnight purchase include?
Blizzard’s Midnight announcement says Midnight editions include The War Within. If your account already owns an included expansion, Blizzard says it will not be granted again, so check your account entitlements before buying. The announcement also says a Midnight purchase does not include access to future expansions.
