When was Dune: Awakening free on Steam?
PC Gamer reported on September 4, 2025, that the free weekend would run from September 11 through September 15, 2025. That limited-time event has expired; it is not an active offer or evidence that another free weekend is scheduled. PC Gamer’s event report described the trial as having no playtime cap, access to all map zones, and the ability to join existing servers with friends. It also said progress would carry over if a player later bought the game. Those details describe the 2025 event, not a standing free-to-play policy.

What Steam offer followed the free weekend?

According to Bandai Namco Europe’s September 17, 2026 announcement, a PC update introduced a full single-player mode, customization options, additional story content concluding Book One, and other improvements. Subscription catalogs can change, so verify the current Game Pass listing before subscribing for this game. A physical PS5 edition is also available through regional distribution; a PS5 disc is not a Steam copy or a way to claim Steam access.
