To complete Hydro-Puzzle in Dying Light: The Beast, check pressure at the industrial Pumping Station, investigate the Waterworks Repair Facility, use the safe code 27-1-15 to get the Chief Engineer’s office key, then follow the yellow pipe into the sewers. After helping Damian and his family, cut power on the way out and leave the Waterworks Administration building.
How to unlock Hydro-Puzzle
Hydro-Puzzle is an Old Town side quest that becomes available after The Cable Guy. Return to Pietro at Town Hall to receive it. If the quest has not appeared, complete The Cable Guy first, then speak with Pietro again. PowerPyx’s side-quest listing corroborates the unlock condition and quest giver.
Check the water pressure and enter the facility
- Go to the industrial Pumping Station and check the water pressure.
- Speak with Pietro, then travel to the Waterworks Repair Facility.
- The main entrance is locked. Circle around to the ladder and scaffolding, climb to the roof, enter through the air ducts, and drop into the building.
Find the office key and investigate the sewer
Open the safe
Locate the Chief Engineer’s office. Its key is in a safe in another room. Read the Incident Report for the combination: 27-1-15. Open the safe and take the key.
Follow the sound and yellow pipe
Continue to the Sewer Maintenance Point and check the pressure there. Listen for the clanging, then follow the yellow pipe into the sewers. Help Damian and get out of the Waterworks
- At the source of the clanging, clear the infected.
- Speak with Damian and his family. Damian is the Chief Engineer and gives you the Waterworks Admin Key.
- Follow the exit route and cut the electricity as you go.
- Leave the Waterworks Administration building. The quest completes outside, when reinforcements from Town Hall arrive.
