Epic says it reviews every in-game report for possible violations of its Terms of Service and Code of Conduct, and applies sanctions only when warranted. If you submitted a Fortnite player behavior report, you can check whether it is still under review or has been reviewed in Epic’s Safety and Security Center. That status process is specifically documented for Fortnite player behavior reports; reporting routes and available status information differ by category.
How to check a Fortnite player behavior report
- Go to Epic’s Safety and Security Center and open Reporting Misconduct.
- Select My Reports.
- Check Open Reports for reports still under review, or Closed Reports for reports that have been reviewed.
- Select View Details for more information.
Epic says the Safety and Security Center is the only place it shares information about these reports. Support agents cannot provide additional details.

Does a report mean the player will be punished?
No. A report is a request for review, not proof that a rule was broken. Epic says it reviews in-game reports for possible violations and applies sanctions only when warranted. Its misconduct policy lists possible outcomes such as a warning, removal of offensive content, temporary restrictions on product or social features, or a permanent account ban. The consequence can depend on the severity and number of offenses.
Will Epic tell you if someone reported you?
Epic says a reported person will know that a conversation they participated in was reported only if Epic takes action based on a report. If it does, Epic emails the account’s associated address with information about the Community Rules violation and a case-review link. Some violations can be appealed through that process. If no email address is associated with the account, Epic says the information appears in-game the next time the person logs in.

Are all Epic reports checked the same way?
No single reporting or status-check process is established for every category. Epic’s misconduct policy covers reports across its games, services, and environments, but the documented My Reports status workflow applies to Fortnite player behavior reports.

What happens when chat is reported?
Epic’s EULA says that when reporting is enabled in text or voice chat, captured chat snippets may be stored on participants’ devices and transmitted to Epic for review if a potential violation is reported. The EULA also says Epic may analyze communications with machine-learning technologies to help identify rule violations. These statements are conditional; they do not say that every chat is transmitted to Epic.

How does Epic review potentially illegal content?
For reports about potentially illegal content, Epic says it uses a combination of automated tools and human moderators to identify and flag content, then has trained moderators review flagged reports to determine appropriate action. This description is specific to potentially illegal content and should not be treated as a description of the process for every report category.
