Even after you clear the current group, pillagers can spawn there again. To prevent future spawns, you need to address eligible spawn locations in the area; demolition alone is not enough.
Why pillagers keep spawning after the tower is destroyed
The tower is a visible landmark, but its blocks are not what switches outpost spawning on. Spawning is associated with the outpost’s location or region, so removing the structure does not erase that behavior. The Minecraft Wiki’s pillager-farming tutorial describes spawning continuing after the structure is completely destroyed: Minecraft Wiki: Pillager farming.
Clearing the pillagers already present only removes the current group; it does not prevent later spawns. Minecraft Bedrock 1.11.0 release notes state that “Pillagers will respawn around the tower” (Minecraft Bedrock 1.11.0 release notes, Minecraft Feedback / Mojang, 2019).
How outpost spawning differs between Java and Bedrock
Java Edition
The Minecraft Wiki describes a 72×54×72 spawning box centered on the central block of the outpost’s highest floor. Destroying the building does not remove this spawning area. The official Bedrock 1.11.0 notes describe pillagers respawning around the tower. A Minecraft Wiki tutorial further describes Bedrock spawning as tied to a particular outpost location, with spawn positions at or below it. The available descriptions do not establish a complete current Bedrock spawn-proofing recipe, so do not assume Java coordinates or farm instructions apply unchanged. Focus on preventing eligible spawns in the outpost area rather than demolishing the tower. A Minecraft Wiki farming tutorial discusses light-source blocks as part of a particular spawn-control setup, but that does not establish lighting as a guaranteed, universal fix across editions and versions.
