Which platforms can play Dead by Daylight together?

Why can’t I join friends on another platform?
Check that everyone has the same game version
Cross-play requires version parity. Behaviour Interactive Support states, “To be able to cross-play together, all platforms need to be running the same version of the game.” If an update reaches one platform later, players on that platform can match only with others on that platform until versions align.

Account for Nintendo Switch update delays
Switch is included in cross-play, but its updates may arrive later. In a FAQ dated September 18, 2025, Behaviour says players cannot cross-play while Switch is on a different version from other platforms. That is a temporary update-window separation, not a permanent exclusion.
Does cross-play mean cross-progression?
No. Cross-play lets you play multiplayer matches with people on supported platforms. Cross-progression syncs eligible progress and inventory between your own linked platform accounts. Behaviour’s cross-progression FAQ lists Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Store, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 as participating platforms.

Cross-progression requires linking and syncing through a Behaviour Account. It has restrictions, so linking accounts does not mean every purchase or achievement follows you:
- Only one account per platform can be synced.
- Once accounts are synced, they cannot be unsynced.
- Auric Cells purchased on Switch stay on Switch.
- DLC sharing to Switch is one-way: DLC from other platforms can transfer to Switch, but Switch DLC does not transfer to other platforms.
- Trophies and achievements generally remain platform-specific.

What about Dead by Daylight Mobile?
Behaviour’s English cross-play platform list does not name Mobile. Its cross-progression FAQ describes Dead by Daylight Mobile as a separate product without cross-progression, but that does not establish whether Mobile supports cross-play with PC or console. The available official information cited here does not resolve Mobile’s cross-play status, so it should not be assumed to join matches with the listed platforms.
